i'm new to film making, as opposed to video, and am thinking of experimenting with super 8. one thing that attracts me is the idea of shooting silent super 8 b/w footage, then editing it on a digital NLE, either straightaway, or after doing a rough cut on the film itself. so i would want access to something like super8sound's pro 8 telecine (for the first of those options).
i'm currently based in belgium, so mailing film back and forth to the US seems a complicated way of doing it. can anyone point me to a similar facility in europe (inc. UK)?
TIA:

Try (in the UK) Simply Cine. Their web address is:
www.simplycine.co.uk/
They sell film for both S8 & 16mm & should either process it or be able to send to a nearby lab...

try the Lux centre in Hoxton Square, London. Telecine seems to be really expensive though. does anyone know of a real cheap place to get this done in UK?
